On my mind...

... right this moment? It's 10:35 A.M. I want it to be tonight. NOW.

I want to bypass the stupid workout and the boring folding of laundry and the paying of bills and the checking of work ads and all the other mundane nonsense that will pass the hours of this day, and go directly to the good stuff.

I am not a responsible adult. I am a greedy, wanton, spoiled adult child, wanting her treat.

But no matter how much I kick and fuss, the clock stubbornly ticks the minutes away one at a time, instead of leaping forward in large chunks of hours that bring me to this evening.

Arrgh.

  1. Hello my Erica i know the feeling i want what i want when i want it as well :-( it get's so frustrating at time's i have so much on my mind today, i read today's paper and my dad's ex girl friend Diane's mother passed away yesterday i knew her she was a nice lady. i feel so sad for Diane because she lost her mother. my dad told me not to write in the online guestbook cause Diane's husband is a jerk and he may read it and that will only make trouble for her, why does everything have to be so unfair? Diane was my mommy too and i want her to know i care. Diane looks so much like Jean Bradley from northern spanking she has the same dark curly hair and everything they could be twins, DAMN IT why did she leave us i miss her so much, my dad said no body knows Diane anymore :-( OMG how i wish she was still my mommy i ADORED her so much. have fun with NG tonight i know you will, i Love you big hugs from your naughty girl Jade xoxo

  2. It's not fair how time passes so slowly while we are waiting, yet flies when we are enjoying ourselves.

Which leads me to the always appropriate quote:

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.

It'll be tonight soon enough. :)

  3. I would dearly love to rewind the clock back to 6:35 pm yesterday before my Steelers choked in yet ANOTHER Superbowl. Such a sickening, disgusting way to wake up this morning. Sorry for the vent. Their loss feels like rejection does to me.

  4. I think you are building up a proper head of steam so that by the time he walks in through your door you will be in your most incredible Erica form and quite take his breath away and he will take yours away in return.
You need the day. It is part of the event and even in your stomping rage you know that too.

  5. Jade -- I'm sorry about your friend's mother. :-(

Pink -- giggles! I'm always up for a play on words. And you're right, it's just a few hours away now.

Kelly -- I can't say a word about the Super Bowl, except I'm sorry your team lost. Hope you didn't bet a bunch of money!

Poppy -- absolutely, I do know it. And I love it, despite the impatience. :-)

  8. Getting closer, Erica, getting closer for your well deserved time together after so long apart.

Oh, LOVE your Leslie Gore imitation. :)

  9. Michael -- (laughing) I'm REALLY dating myself, channeling Lesley Gore! Hmmm... wonder if it's Erica's turn to cry? ;-)

  10. Why does it not surprise me that you would be chompin' at the bit while waiting for NG time? LOL I figured that would happen.

Now, as I write this it is 6.19 and you and NG are, not doubt, enjoying the evening. I look forward to your next post. Have fun.
