Happy birthday to my top

Today, February 8, is Mr. D's birthday. Unfortunately, I don't think he's going to be doing any celebrating, what with his family situation. His mother is now in end-stage hospice. I asked him if he thought his family would remember his birthday, and he said probably not -- perhaps after the fact, but not right now. That made me sad. Everyone deserves to be acknowledged on their special day, I think.

So, to my dear top and friend, I acknowledge you here. I know you don't feel like celebrating now. But eventually, you will. And I will be here to take your birthday spanking, over and over and over, and fuss over you and brat you and make you laugh.

I miss you. I miss your smile, your strong hands, that wicked gleam in your eye. I miss your calm voice and your comforting arms. I miss the pleasure and pain, the connection, the release. I miss YOU.

Take care of everything you need to, take your time. Just know that our play will be the light at the end of your tunnel. We will have fun again. It's just been put on hold for a while. Close your eyes in the midst of the turmoil and try to recall the euphoria.

And yes, this blog will be fun again too. Have a great weekend, y'all. Stay safe, those who are back East in Blizzard Nemo's path.

  1. What a sweet post. I think this is a wonderful way to acknowledge Mr D's birthday.

I'm on the east coast. so far not much of a storm here. A few flakes of snow in the air. Hoping this whole thing has been blow out of proportion.

I HATE ALL THIS SNOW UGH :-( It is snowing VERY hard here and the light's are already flickering,I would much rather be somewhere warm like Hawaii or Florida. All this snow is for Eskimo's and penguin's.I would like to be in California too so i could visit you my best friend :-)Wishing you and John a GREAT weekend.Much Love and hug's from naughty girl Jade

  3. Anonymous -- I think you might be lucky and live in a relatively unaffected area. The media is full of reports of cancelled flights, closed schools and power failures, and they're saying up to 3 feet of snow in some areas. *shudder*

Jade -- I hope he will like it too. Stay warm!

  5. Happy birthday, Mr. D!

We were in Nemo's direct path (hadn't heard of it referred to that way though) and it wasn't nice. The snowplows were going back and forth all Thursday night and throughout the day yesterday. Because of the high winds, we have huge drifts in places. We'll be spending the day shoveling out the driveway and unburying the cars. There's more snow in the forecast too.

But at least we don't have earthquakes:)

    Hugs,
    Hermione

  9. This is a very nice post, Erica. It shows real caring and concern for Mr. D and he is fortunate to have a play partner like you, as you are to have a guy like him to spank you. May both of you have some fun soon.

  10. Knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (even if one can't see it, yet), can indeed be very important at times. Sorry to hear that Mr D is having such a hard time. All the best to him and a Happy Birthday despite of the sad circumstances.

  11. Thanks to wonderful Erica and her friends' posts. Mom has gone now, but her send-off was one of the most magical moments of this ending journey for her.

I know I'm the lucky one in this special relationship with you Erica. With the sound and feel of every "smack" to your bottom, I am confident that you feel as lucky as I. I miss you too. I miss the smile on your beautiful face and the wonderful smile on your bum as it anticipates the next spank. I look very forward to our play being the light I see at the end of the tunnel.

I miss you. See you tomorrow.

    Mr. D

  12. Bobbie Jo -- yes, I would say some fun is definitely due.

Kaelah -- having something to look forward to makes a huge difference for me. If I have something fun ahead, it's like my reward for plowing through tough times.

Mr. D -- you and your family gave your mom the best possible final days; know this and feel good about it. Can't wait to see you.
