He didn't stay long, but...

... he made an impression. :-)

First spanking of the New Year. It was a brief visit; too brief. But I was glad to see him. That pleasurable pain temporarily snapped me out of the malaise I have been in for a while now.

Unfortunately, it came back. But I will continue to beat it back (literally, sometimes).

I hope things will settle and we can continue with our routine, our longer visits, the extended aftercare. Because I need to be a rock, and lately, I feel more like a pile of shifting sand. I need my support systems.

Hold on tight. Please.

Side note: I have noticed, since the beginning of the year, I now encounter this infamous warning page whenever I go to my blog:

Content Warning
Some readers of this blog have contacted Google because they believe this blog's content is objectionable. In general, Google does not review nor do we endorse the content of this or any blog. For more information about our content policies, please visit the Blogger Terms of Service.

I realize this is the standard warning page for blogs categorized as "Adult." However, I've never designated mine as such, purposely so I wouldn't have that stupid warning pop up. But now it's coming up automatically, even though I checked "no" in my settings under "Adult Content."

Anyone know what's going on? Is this just another one of Blogger's "porn sweeps," attempting to corral and label all adult material? Or does this mean I'm on the radar somehow? Any Blogger savvy folks out there, would love to hear from you. Thanks. (And yes, I am backing up my blog regularly.)

  1. Hopefully the dust will settle soon and normal routines will come back! As for the content warning, I have no idea about it other than I did notice it started appearing for your blog.

  2. Erica, just as a thought. All my life I have been fighting for the freedom of speech, or thoughts in a persons mind. Going back through the years, be it Socrates, Galileo, Darwin, or Freud. etc, who tried to ENLIGTEN the world, were FROWNED upon., by so called 'know-it-alls, especially the religious establishment. Yes, possibly like you, I 've had many an argument fighting for those FREEDOMS, probably to the very end of my life. XXX Luv ya.

  3. I have no clue. I think it's just one or two individuals though. Or another Erica Sxcott, if there can be two copies. ;-) And I would take it as a compliment - it seems quite decent to deviate from particular standards.

  4. As for the warning page, it's been a bit strange, Erica. Sometimes it appears, sometimes it does not. Almost a 50/50. I thought you'd changed settings or something. It's not a big deal for us to simply click on the "Wish to Continue" button.

    1. My first time posting any where about spanking. I've seen a few of your videos and I can relate. Im learning so much about who I am and who I've been hiding.

  5. Jay -- I sure hope so.

Six -- I guess fighting Blogger is like fighting a religious establishment sometimes.

MrJ -- I do take a perverse pride in it.

Pam -- yeah, I know. It just bugs me! I don't like it when things are happening and I have no explanation.

  7. It's like the World has gone back to the 50s. Nature documentaries have "M"ratings.

  11. Hi Erica -- I noticed the content warning as well. I don't know why it's doing that but it doesn't bother me, I click on continue :-) Nice pics. I am so glad you got your first spanking of 2015 :-) The first pic is AWESOME, because my favorite spanking position is OTK. I need a good OTK spanking.I am very stressed out and way too naughty for my own good LOL :-) Much Love and hugs from naughty girl Jade/ Emily Jean

  13. In reference to the warning page, you have bigger battles to fight now. Choose the hill you want to die on. Let the small minded fight the small battles.

I'll keep hitting the button to gain access. You stay strong for John...and yourself.

  14. Hi Erica; Long time listener, first time caller.
The warning notice on your blog is not the usual one at all. The usual one says this: "The blog that you are about to view may contain content only suitable for adults. In general, Google does not review nor do we endorse the content of this or any blog. For more information about our content policies, please visit the Blogger Terms of Service."
Yours says you have been reported by "some readers" who believe the content of your blog is "objectionable".
I don't think you need worry though. AlexInSpankingland didn't formerly have a warning message. Then she acquired the one you now have. This has now changed to the usual one.
If you are worried about the "Some readers of this blog have contacted Google" aspect of the thing you should maybe ask Alex what happened in her case: why did the message appear on her blog and why did it change? If she doesn't know it is probably the case that Google is messing, and it isn't anything serious. But, given what is happening in England perhaps all bloggers should keep a careful eye on things.
Could I just add that I have been following your blog for years. When times have been good for you it has been a delight to read it as it echoes all your considerable joy in life and the world. When times have been hard for you it has done my heart good to read your accounts of a woman's strength and resilience in the face of all that same world can sometimes hurl at her.
You and John have been going through some very hard times recently. May they end soon and all the health and happiness in the world be yours again! Then hard times come again no more.
All the best to you, Joe.

  15. Mouse -- you're right; it's a small battle. I'm more perplexed and annoyed than worried at this point, but most of the time, I'm not thinking about it.

Joe -- welcome to you. You're right; it's not the usual message. That's really creepy! I will certainly ask Alex. And thank you so much for the kind words and good wishes. Please come back and comment anytime!

  16. You know...Bonnie's MBS blog had the same warning that "some readers..." What happens if you toggle the warning on yourself? Does it switch to the other version?

  17. Jay -- how funny. I just this minute noticed that myself. You know what? I'm not going to fret about it. If it's happening to others, it must be a Google thing. Some sort of crackdown, perhaps. Whatever. As long as they leave me intact, they can warn all they want. Freaking Puritans.

  18. It happened to me last year on my musing blog. First my blog disappeared for two days, then it showed up with the warning content. I wasn't happy because that blog is just a everyday musing blog. Nothing erotic. But I did have a few images that maybe be cosidered erotic. I was happy to get my blog back, so I didn't sweat the aldult content warning. Maybe your backside is just to hot to look at for some folks.. :)

  19. I'm thinking Google found it objectionable that there was a period of time recently when you had to stop, or seriously curtail, your spankings. (Your faithful audience felt the wait was worth it!)

I'm sorry - according to: https://www.blogger.com/content.g the only way you can get rid of the interstitial is by adding *more* photos of your red and well-spanked bottom.

  20. I wondered about this Blogger thing coming up, too. Probably someone in the system itself is getting all hot and bothered by your pics and was told they would be fired if they didn't stop focusing on your blog. ;-D

I don't mind having to click continue. I don't particularly care for the Captcha thing, but I put up with it. Just one more inconvenience from Giggle. (No, that is not a typo.)

  21. 1ManView -- how weird! Mine has never disappeared, thank goodness.

Anonymous -- cute. :-) I wish it were that simple!

Bobbie Jo -- ha! Yeah, Google is very much a Big Brother. I should probably consider migrating to Wordpress, but that terrifies me.

    1. Well, and is leaving Google (blogger) and going with a WordPress site on some separate hosting service really going to buy you much? Won't you still have to deal with that hosting service's policies regarding adult content? I know you have the current setting (self-described) as not being adult content, but I'm sure those who are objecting consider it that. (Not female ejaculation extreme per UK law, but Adult :)

    2. Honestly, I don't know. I have a lot to learn about it.

  22. Don't sweat the warning prompt. People are used to that. It's just one more click, no big deal at all.
